Spirolite™ is the preferred replacement for the traditional materials used for sewers (concrete), since it is more resistant to corrosion. A unique manufacturing process makes Spirolite™ the only high-density polyethylene system in North America that offers a cost competitive alternative to traditional piping systems for gravity, sanitary sewer, water transmission and industrial waste applications, reline, odor control, and flume lining. Lightweight Spirolite™ pipe offers both the ease of a bell and spigot joint design that reduces installation time and the corrosion resistance to assure long-term, trouble-free service. Spirolite™ pipe also meets the requirements of ASTM F-894.


Unlike many conventionally extruded thermoplastic pipes, where inside diameter is decreased as the wall is made thicker, all Spirolite™ pipe is manufactured to constant internal diameters. Standard Spirolite™ sizes are available from 18” to 120”. Additional sizes through 144”diameter are available on request.

Spirolite™ is manufactured through an exclusive process by which a profile extrusion is continuously wound upon a mandrel. This innovative wall construction takes advantage of geometrically efficient profiles to minimize pipe weight while maximizing the stiffness to weight ratio. Each size of Spirolite™ pipe is available in several standard classes, allowing the engineer to choose the profile or class which is the most economical for their specific application. The Spirolite™ pipe profile concept has been proven by more than 35 years of successful experience in the western hemisphere.

Many contractors have found they can install 25% - 35% more Spirolite™ pipe per day than a similar size pipe made from traditional materials.


Spirolite’s™ Lightweight pipe offers the ease of long length, bell and spigot joint design, exceeding ASTM D-3212, that reduces installation time and the corrosion resistance of polyethylene to assure long-term trouble free service. Spirolite™ pipe meets the requirements of ASTM F-894.

Manufactured using the unique Spirolite™ production process using bimodal high density PE4710/PE100 resin, Spirolite™ tanks offer the perfect combination of extra high strength and affordability.

Corrosion Resistance - Spirolite™ HDPE is resistant to most industrial chemicals at ambient temperatures.
Lightweight Spirolite™ HDPE requires less material-handling capacity than metals and concrete structures of equal size.
Durable – containing 2% carbon black, Spirolite™ HDPE tanks are fully-resistant to ultraviolet (UV) degradation. They never need painting, and are resistant to abrasion and exterior corrosion.
Flat bottoms and strong, weight-carrying tops are fully welded to heavy wall shells. Manways and nozzles are installed per customer requirements.

Spirolite™ HDPE tanks are available either vertical or horizontal up to 120” inside diameter.
Spirolite™ HDPE is hydrophobic with excellent non-stick properties making tanks and structures easy to clean.
Applications include storage of finished products, water treatment chemicals, water, fertilizer, corrosive industrial chemicals, and waste fluids. Hydrocarbon content should not exceed 2% concentration.
CHEMICAL AND CORROSION RESISTANT

Most chemicals which attack other products will not harm Spirolite™ tanks. They resist over 700 chemicals in various combinations and concentrations, and under different temperature conditions. Only certain solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, phenolics, chlorinated hydrocarbons, fats, and some oils have any effect on these tanks. Spirolite™ tanks will not rust or decay and they are not subject to electrolytic or galvanic corrosion.

LONG LASTING AND MAINTENANCE FREE

Harsh environmental conditions and the degrading effects of ultraviolet rays will not affect Spirolite™ tanks. They are built to last. They will not rot or discolor and require no painting.

TOUGH AND STRONG

Rugged Spirolite™ tanks are made from high-density, high-molecular weight polyethylene (HDPE) using a resin tailored to produce tanks that are tough, strong, and reliable. Spirolite™ tanks are manufactured using an exclusive process by which a specially designed extrusion is continuously wound upon a mandrel. Heat fusion techniques create homogeneous bonds that are permanent, reliable, and completely leak proof. Spirolite™ tanks are practically shatterproof.

VARIETY OF FITTINGS AND ACCESSORIES

A wide variety of fittings and accessories including flanged inlets and outlets, vents, valves, sight glasses, and float gauges are available with Spirolite™ tanks. Custom equipped interiors may also be provided on special order.

RANGE OF SIZES

Standard Spirolite™ tanks are offered in a range of capacities from 315 to 10,000 gallons. Non-standard sizes are available on special order.

EASILY CLEANED

Smooth, non-wetting surfaces minimize the possibility of substances adhering to the interior of Spirolite™ tanks. It’s easy to clean them and easy to change contents. And because they can be refilled quickly, fewer storage tanks are needed. Fewer tanks and efficient utilization saves you money.

NON-TOXIC AND NON ABSORBENT

These tanks will not contaminate their contents nor will the contents react with the tank. They are practically free from taste or odor and will not promote algae or bacterial growth. They also have good flavor retention and barrier properties.

ABRASION RESISTANT

In many applications, Spirolite™ tanks are 4 to 6 times more abrasion resistant than steel. This product is suited for handling slurry solutions that require agitation.

LIGHT WEIGHT

Spirolite™ tanks are significantly lighter than tanks made of traditional materials. Their light makes them easier to install. Spirolite™ tanks require no expensive structural alterations or special handling equipment. Light weight also means reduced shipping and transportation costs.
